ABOUT GREENSBORO BEAUTIFUL
Greensboro Beautiful, Inc. is a private, non-profit, 501(c) 3 volunteer organization working in partnership with the City of Greensboro to bring private businesses, citizens and community organizations together to conserve and enhance the beauty and ecology of our community. Incorporated in 1968, Greensboro Beautiful
enlisted the support of the City's
Parks & Recreation Department, the Greensboro
Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Greensboro Council of Garden
Clubs, Inc.. Through
the financial and volunteer
support of these founding sponsors,
Greensboro Beautiful was established
as a partnership between the
City of Greensboro and its
citizens.
This unique partnership is still active today. Greensboro Beautiful
provides funding assistance and volunteer support to initiate
community improvement and enhancement projects and programs,
and the Greensboro Parks & Recreation Department provides
staff to coordinate, implement and administer these projects
and programs. |
